Main Street Restaurant Week ends on Saturday, August 8!

If you haven’t taken advantage of Main Street Restaurant Week (www.mainstreetrestaurantweek.com) don’t wait any longer. Over 50 restaurants in the 8 Main Streets are participating with prix fixe menus from $5 to $30.  Mills 50 restaurants are Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, First Watch – Mills Park, Giraffas Mills Park, Maxine’s on Shine and Shin Jung Korean Restaurant.  Restaurant week runs through Saturday, August 8.

It’s NiFTE (New Food Truck Experience) in Mills 50!

Stop by NiFTE (New Food Truck Experience) in Mills 50 on Thursday, January 9 from 6pm until 9pm and enjoy great eats from Au Naturel, Soup to Nuts and Voodoo Kitchen Food Trucks!  Located at the corner of Mills & Oregon – across from Track Shack – NiFTE in Mills 50 will take place the second Thursday of every month – with a different group of food trucks!

Get in the holiday “spirits” at the 12 Pubs of Christmas Pub Crawl!

Join the annual 12 Pubs of Christmas Pub Crawl, hosted by Mills 50 and Ivanhoe Village, on Saturday, December 7 beginning at 8pm.  Purchase a wristband for $10 at either Wally’s in Mills 50 or The Thirsty Topher in Ivanhoe Village and enjoy drink specials at twelve of your favorite bars, including the new St. Matthew’s Tavern and Beer Garden (formerly Paradise) on Mills.  O-Cartz will be available to transport you, included with your wristband!

Don’t miss the “Bad Kitty” Art Show!

District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan presents the “Bad Kitty” Art Show at The Peacock Room, beginning Monday, June 17.  The exhibit features original paintings by Commissioner Sheehan!  A portion of sales will be donated to the SPCA. Admission is free but small bags of cat food for our feline friends would be appreciated!  Meow!

Celebrate Mills 50 at Picturing Main Street!

Picturing Main Street is an exhibit containing the original works of artists living and working in Orlando’s eight Main Street Districts.  Artists were asked to create a piece which depicts “their” district!  Mills 50 is represented by artists Amy Barnickel, Emily Gallagher, Diane Martens, Bethany Myers and Jennifer Payne.  Picturing Main Street opens on Thursday, May 16 with a reception from 6pm until 10pm at CityArts Factory, 29 S. Orange.  Admission is free.  The exhibit continues through Friday, June 14.
